Generate a random BIP-39 mnemonic seed phrase (English wordlist), on your device.
BIP-39 mnemonic generate draws entropy through the scure bip39 library and prints a mnemonic seed phrase from the English wordlist alone. The strength option runs 128 to 256 bits and gives 12 to 24 words, defaulting to 128 bits and 12 words. Only the English wordlist ships here, so a wallet expecting another language will not accept this phrase as valid.
Questions
What strengths can I choose?
128, 160, 192, 224 or 256 bits of entropy, giving 12, 15, 18, 21 or 24 words respectively. The default is 128 bits, 12 words.
Which wordlist does it use?
The English BIP-39 wordlist from the scure bip39 library. No other language is offered.
Where does the randomness come from?
The scure bip39 library's own generateMnemonic function, which draws from the platform CSPRNG.
Can I use this from the command line?
Yes, the same code runs on the page, the CLI and MCP.
Is the phrase kept anywhere?
No. It is generated fresh and printed once; nothing about it is stored by the tool.
Does a higher strength make a safer wallet?
It gives more entropy, but real wallet security also depends on how you store the phrase afterward, which this tool has no part in.
