Do my photos get uploaded?
No. Encoding and decoding happen in this tab through the jSquash codecs. The three tools that use a machine-learning model download the model itself from this site, then run it on your device; your image is never part of that request.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP across the editing and conversion tools. The format is chosen from the file extension, and anything else is refused with "only JPG, PNG and WebP are supported" rather than being guessed at.
Will compressing lose quality?
JPEG and WebP compression is lossy, so yes, by the amount you choose with the quality setting. PNG stays lossless. Each tool shows the size before and after, so you can judge the trade rather than take it on trust.
Does anything here remove EXIF and location data?
Strip EXIF removes the metadata block, and every tool that re-encodes an image drops metadata as a side effect. If a photo needs to be shared without the GPS tag it was taken with, run Strip EXIF and check the result with View EXIF.
Do the AI tools work offline?
Not on first use. Background removal, upscaling and OCR each download a model, so that one run needs a network. Everything else here works offline from the first visit.
