Social preset resizer scales your image until it covers one of eight named platform boxes, from instagram-square at 1080x1080 to youtube-thumbnail at 1280x720, then centre-crops to that exact size. The format is kept and quality defaults to 85. A source smaller than the preset is enlarged to fill it, which adds no detail of its own.

Which sizes does it offer?
Eight named presets: Instagram post square 1080x1080, Instagram post portrait 1080x1350, Instagram or Facebook story 1080x1920, X/Twitter post 1600x900, X/Twitter header 1500x500, Facebook cover 820x312, LinkedIn banner 1584x396, and YouTube thumbnail 1280x720. The default is the Instagram square. There is no custom size box here; for one, use Resize image or Crop image.
Will my picture be squashed or cropped?
Cropped, never squashed. The image is scaled until it covers the target box in both directions, then centre-cropped down to the exact preset size. Proportions are kept, and whatever falls outside the box is cut off. On a photo whose shape is far from the preset, that can be a lot, so check the result before posting.
What happens if my image is smaller than the preset?
It gets enlarged to cover the target, because the scale factor is whatever it takes to fill both dimensions. You will get an image at the full preset size, but a soft one, since resampling adds no detail. Start from something at least as large as the preset, or run Upscale image first.
Does it add safe areas, text or platform borders?
No. It only scales and crops to the pixel size a platform expects. It does not know where a profile picture will overlap a cover photo, it draws no text, and it applies no template. Meme generator and OG / social image generator are the two tools here that stamp text onto an image.
What do I get back?
One file per input, named with the preset appended, such as photo-instagram-square.jpg. The format is kept from the input and JPG and WebP are encoded at the Quality option, which defaults to 85. The page also prints the before and after size with the preset label. Nothing is uploaded; the work runs in a Web Worker on your device.
