Bech32 decode
Bech32 decode. Verifies the checksum and reports the human-readable part. Runs on your device, nothing is uploaded.
Bech32 decode splits your string at its last 1 separator into a human-readable part and a data part, checks the BIP-173 checksum, then regroups the 5-bit values into bytes. Mixed uppercase and lowercase, or a failed checksum, gets the input refused. The human-readable part comes back with the bytes, since bech32 carries no length or type marker beyond that prefix.
Questions
What does it report besides the decoded bytes?
The human-readable part (HRP), the prefix before the 1 separator, such as bc for a Bitcoin address.
What happens with mixed-case input?
The tool refuses, since bech32 must be entirely lowercase or entirely uppercase, never mixed.
What if the checksum does not verify?
The tool refuses with "bech32 checksum does not verify".
What if there is no 1 separator?
The tool refuses, naming the missing or misplaced separator.
Is this bech32m?
No, this is classic bech32 (BIP-173), not the bech32m variant used for newer Bitcoin address types.
