Octal decode
Octal decode. Runs on your device, nothing is uploaded.
Octal decode takes base-8 groups, separated by a space or comma, and converts each back into a single byte. A digit from 8 or 9 upward in a group, or a group whose value overflows a byte, gets refused, naming the group and its value. Text decoding to valid UTF-8 shows directly; anything else downloads as decoded.bin instead.
Questions
How are groups separated?
By spaces or commas, each group read as a base-8 byte value.

What happens with a value that will not fit a byte?
The tool refuses, naming the group and its value.
What does the output look like?
Valid UTF-8 text prints directly; anything else downloads as decoded.bin.
Can I use this from the command line?
Yes, the same code runs on the page, the CLI and MCP.
