GIF frames

Split an animated GIF into one fully-composited PNG per frame, with each frame's delay and disposal method.

Input

GIF frames decodes every frame of an animated GIF with omggif, exporting each as a fully-composited PNG, every earlier frame's disposal already applied rather than that frame's own sub-rectangle. A table names each frame's delay in milliseconds and how it disposes afterward: nothing, clearing to background, or restoring the previous frame. Zero decodable frames gets the whole run refused.

Questions

Are the exported frames the raw sub-images or the full picture?

Each PNG is the fully-composited frame, with every earlier frame's disposal already applied, matching exactly what would be on screen during playback at that point.

What does the table show per frame?

Frame number, its delay in milliseconds, and its disposal method: unspecified, do not dispose, restore to background, or restore to previous.

How are output files named?

base-frame-001.png, base-frame-002.png and so on, padded to three digits.

What if the GIF has zero image frames?

The tool refuses, naming the file as having none.

Does it show the loop count?

Yes, in the summary line, with 0 meaning loop forever.
