Inspect an SVG path
List every command in an SVG path's `d` attribute as a table, with its raw arguments and the absolute point it ends at, for every `<path>` element in the file.
Inspect an SVG path reads the d attribute of every path element and lists each command as a row: its index, its letter, its arguments and where it lands. Listing stops at 500 commands across the whole file, so a long path shows only part of itself. It only reads the file; nothing is changed or written back.
Questions
What does each row in the table show?
The index of the path element it came from, the command number within that path, the command letter itself, its raw numeric arguments, and the absolute x and y coordinate the command ends at.
Is there a limit to how many commands it shows?
Yes, 500 commands total across the whole file. Past that the listing stops and a note in the result says the output was capped, so a file with many long paths shows only its first 500 commands rather than the whole thing.
What happens if one of the paths fails to parse?
That path is skipped and named in a note alongside the parse error it hit; the table still shows every command from the paths that did parse successfully. Only if every single path fails does the tool refuse outright.
Does it change my SVG file?
No. This is a read-only report; it lists what the d attribute already contains and writes no file back.
What happens if the file has no path element at all?
It refuses with a message saying no path element with a d attribute was found, rather than returning an empty table.
