SVG to favicon set
Render one SVG into a full favicon set: a six-size .ico, standalone touch and manifest icons, a web manifest and the HTML to paste, all zipped together.
SVG to favicon set renders one source file at six fixed sizes. Three, 16, 32 and 48 pixels, cover browser and taskbar icons; the rest, 180, 192 and 512, cover the touch icon and manifest. Everything packs into favicon-set.zip: a hand-built .ico, touch and manifest PNGs, a site.webmanifest, and a paste-ready HTML snippet. None of the six sizes can change.
Questions
What sizes does it render?
16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 pixels, a fixed list covering the browser tab and taskbar, Windows icon cache, Safaris apple-touch-icon, and a PWA manifests icon list; the list cannot be extended or trimmed.
What is inside the ZIP file?
Seven files: favicon.ico holding all six sizes in one multi-image icon, apple-touch-icon.png, icon-192.png, icon-512.png, your original icon.svg, a site.webmanifest, and a favicon-snippet.html file with the link tags ready to paste into a page head.
Can I set a background colour?
Yes, backgroundColor applies to every rendered PNG; leaving it blank keeps them transparent.
What does the name option do?
It sets the name and short_name fields written into site.webmanifest, site by default.
What happens if rendering one of the sizes fails?
The whole run stops and the error names the file and the specific size that failed to render, rather than shipping a ZIP missing one of its six icons.
