Extract emails, URLs and more
Extract emails, URLs and more. Runs entirely on your device, nothing is uploaded.
Extract emails, URLs and more scans a pasted text for one pattern kind: emails, URLs, phone numbers, hashtags, mentions, IP addresses or plain numbers. It lists each unique match once. Each kind uses one fixed regular expression, not a validating parser, so a fake-looking email still gets extracted. Finding nothing at all is refused rather than returned as empty.
Questions
Which kinds of pattern can I extract?
One at a time: emails, URLs, plain numbers, phone numbers, hashtags, mentions or IP addresses, chosen with the kind option.
Are duplicate matches removed?
Yes. Every match is collected into a set first, so the same email or URL appearing five times in the text is listed only once in the result.
Does it validate that a match is real, like a working email address?
No. Each kind is matched with one fixed regular expression shaped like the pattern, so a string that merely looks like an email or a URL is extracted whether or not the domain exists at all.
What happens if nothing matches?
It refuses with "no [kind] found in the given text" rather than returning an empty result, naming the kind you asked for.
Does the IP pattern cover IPv6?
Yes, alongside IPv4: the pattern matches a dotted IPv4 address or a colon-separated run of hex groups, so a shortened IPv6 form with only a couple of groups can also match.
