XLSX to CSV
Convert every sheet of an Excel workbook to its own CSV file. Runs on your device.
XLSX to CSV writes each sheet in an Excel workbook out as its own CSV, named base.csv for one sheet, or base.SheetName.csv per sheet in a multi-sheet file. An empty workbook is refused, and a file SheetJS cannot parse surfaces that library's own error. Formulas, formatting, cell colors and any embedded chart never make it across; only plain cell text does.
Questions
How many CSV files do I get?
One per sheet in the workbook: base.csv for a single-sheet file, base.SheetName.csv for each sheet of a multi-sheet workbook.
What happens to formulas and formatting?
Both are dropped; only the sheet's cell text survives in the CSV, the same as any other cell content.
What if the workbook has no sheets?
The tool refuses, naming the file as having no sheets.
What if the file is not a real XLSX?
SheetJS's own read error is attached to the refusal.
What library reads the workbook?
SheetJS (the xlsx package), imported lazily inside the run.
