Remove PDF pages deletes the pages you name and copies everything else into a new file, saved with a -trimmed suffix. Numbers are 1-based and refer to the original document, so 2,5-7 always means the pages printed as two, five, six and seven. The field cannot be left blank: it stops with specify which pages to remove.
Questions
How do I say which pages to remove?
By number and range, 1-based: 2,5-7 removes page two and pages five through seven. Everything you do not name stays, in its original order.
What if I remove every page?
It refuses: "that would remove every page". An empty PDF is not a useful result, so the tool stops rather than producing one.
Does the page numbering shift as pages are removed?
No. The numbers you type all refer to the original document, so you can list them straight off the page you are looking at without doing arithmetic.
Does removing pages shrink the file?
Usually, but not proportionally: shared resources like embedded fonts are carried over as long as any remaining page needs them. Run Compress PDF afterwards if size is the goal.
